TCAF5: Not just for improv fans!

Three novel standup shows and plenty of improv action will fill the stage at the Fifth Annual Tucson Comedy Arts Festival from Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 9. Tickets are $5 each show or $25 for all 12. Workshops are $35 and cover hosting, creating characters, listening skills, coaching and a two-part, long-form intensive. For all the details and to reserve tickets, visit tucsonimprov.com/tcaf.  The theatre seats just 45, so reservations are recommended!

Improvisers from Phoenix, Flagstaff, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles perform alongside such TIM favorites as The Soapbox and The Riveters, Pilot Season, The Dating Scene and the popular kids show, F.O.M.P., Friends of Make Pretends. UArizona teams Comedy Corner and The Charles Darwin Experience are also in the mix.

For standup fans, Set Unlisted starts with a handful of standup comedians whose setlist then provide prompts for an improv crew. Beginners and Veterans is straight-up standup; veteran local comedians share the bill with graduates of TIM’s standup comedy course. Carcajadas: Una Noche De Comedia is half standup, half improv, and all en español.
