The 86,400 Second Comedy Marathon at TENWEST

TENWEST laughs around the clock with the Tucson Comedy Alliance’s 86,400 Second Comedy Telethon.

Tucson comedians and improvisers stretch beyond their normal time constraints into longer, even more hilarious formats. Proceeds provide awards for TENWEST’s Classroom Tech Innovations program winners. Look for the DONATE link, below, to contribute to this important TENWEST program.

Although it’s modeled on the popular dance marathons of the midcentury (a tribute to the history of Hotel McCoy!), the comedy telethon uses up-to-the-minute technology. Contemporary gear and broadcast technology allow audience members on site and around the world to watch, laugh and donate.

The comedy telethon takes place from 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 through 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Hotel McCoy. Admission is by optional donation. The hotel’s mid-century modern architecture is a tribute to Route 66 culture, but It’s re-imagined as a center of innovation and community-building in Tucson’s arts and culture community.
